I am going to a fancy dress party on Saturday, with the theme "Countries of the World". I have decided to represent Japan, by dressing as a generic manga schoolgirl.

I will be wearing:

black pumps
knee high white socks
either a black short shirt or shorts
a white t-shirt
a blue scarf/cape thing with red tie
cat ears (this happens a lot in manga, right?)
I will be carrying a Pikachu.
My housemate says I should wear a black wig, failing that I'm going to put my hair up in ludicrous bunches.

Would you know what I was trying to be? Is there any way I can make it more obvious?

My housemate and my friend Bruce are going as North and South Korea - they haven't got any further than the concept, so far...
