we get loads of these people who phone up and try and sell new windows or mobile phones or something, and usually i give them a telling off, to stop them phoning back but today i tried a peaceful alternative.
instead i answered his question that "yes i am a member of the family, but no i'm not the homeowner" and then just stayed silent.
surprisingly he spent over a minute just saying:
"hello" or "are you still there?" "sir, please" "hhheeeelllllooooo" etc.
i had to put my hand over the receiver to stop my LOL getting through.
