I'm off to hospital in about two hours for an operation. It seems I may have the choice of local or general anaesthetic. Last one I had I went for general, woke up after it, jumped out of bed and did a diagonal stagger into a wall. One before that I lay awake and could feel them rummaging about inside me and cutting out what looked like a discarded piece of pakora. They wouldn't let me take it home for my dog, insisted on tests.

Local or general, which one should I go for ? I've already told some people which guitars they get if I take general and slip away peacefully.
