Vegetarianism
inspired by Jasmine's sausage.
i know a lot of people who are vegetarian. However, on asking them why they're vegetarian, i only know of two people who choose to be for reasons that involve animals - e.g. that the thought of eating a living creature repels them, that they consider the breeding and slaughtering of animals for meat to be cruel etc. The rest either don't remember why they started in the first place, are vegetarian because their parents/friends are, or they're just bloody fussy.
Does ethics put people off vegetarianism, do you think?
