because i'm massively short-sighted but i've not worn glasses for 10 years, preferring to go it alone [headaches, losing them all the time, etc], and i'm a bit bored of being blind. and also cos i got a free voucher for an eye test at dollond & aitchison.

it will be my first experience at the opticians for ten years.

what can i expect? will they put things in my eyes? will they do scary or painful things? will they laugh at me? WHAT WILL HAPPEN?
