[thommocentric] So i had this job interview today...
for a Reasonably Sized DVD Chain and the interviewer (the manager apparently)had called me up the day before to tell me that there was part-time work available, 8 hours a week, would you like an interview. At the interview itself he told me that in the first few weeks it'd be 35 hours because the assistant manager is buggering off. Riiight.
Then he asks me to describe how i'd make him some chese on toast and a cup of tea in as much detail as i could. That was kinda embarrassing. Like having phone sex with a lactoholic. "I'm cutting the cheddar now..." and all that. He criticises me for not tidying up afterwards.
He then tells me that, at 19, the hourly wage would be £4.35. This strikes me as possibly being Against The Law. i'm also informed that if i sell a DVD with a certificate abouve the age of the purchaser and get caught, i would personally be fined £5,000 (although i guess this is the law in most areas).
Tell me what you think DiS. If they offer me the job, should i accept it?
