(It's been a couple of hours since the last footy thread) Tonight's cup game was completely expected, but it still hurt to watch. It says a good deal that this was actually one of our better performances of the season tonight.

We're just missing so much. We're showing absolutely no creativity, in spite of having the likes of Emre and Solano in midfield. We're absolutely devoid of confidence (understandably). We have no goalscoring threat. Shearer's just shambling around on his own up there, a shadow of his former self with absolutely no support. And most unforgivably, bar three notable exceptions (Shearer, Given and Parker), there's absolutely NO PASSION!

I realise I'm being a bit over-dramatic and defeatist, but it's so sad seeing a club of our size reduced to a whimpering wreck. I'd lay money on us ending up with the clubs 10th choice as manager (Like with Souness). Like Howard Wilkinson or George Graham or something.

Anyhoo, this isn't really going anywhere, I just needed to vent my feelings on the state of my football club. :-(
