For the people who've been here fairly long (ie. well before it was changed), how do you think the forums on here have changed in the past year or so?

For me, it seems like it's going really downhill. You get one good Music thread per week, and a couple chuckleable Social ones. There are no massive slanging matches and the Music threads are repetitive and bland.

When you look through the Social board, it just seems like a string of boring topics, crammed full of people trying to out-funny eachother. I have to admit, I do find some things I read on here LOLable, but the majority of it has dropped in quality.

I'm not saying I prefer everyone at eachother's... or my throat/s, but nothing interesting seems to be happening on here now.

It seems all the best people have gone. Martbowski and the Glory were idiots, but their threads gained 100's of replies, and made superb reading. No-one rises to my sweeping generalisations either, nowadays. Now, the Music site is just filled with about 9 'HOW GOOD ARE LIARS AND BATTLES' threads, a couple of 'Has Anyone heard "Pink Moon Cat"' etc. I have to say, the music board doesn't look too bad today, but 90% of the time, its like watching Curling.

I'm not trying to imitate the DiS Police force here, so don't arrest me. I just think its getting tremendously boring. And there's nowhere else to go. I know a lot of people agree with me, but is anyone 'brave enough' to say they do here?
