I read an article the other day that said that just recently it was become unprofitable to invest in oil venture companies, meaning that whatever fields are left in the world we know about, and we are either currently mining out or is currently unprofitable to reach. This has been something of a vague fear of mine for some time now, and the more I read up about it the more frightened I become.

Are we running out? Do you reckon in our lifetimes? Is it just eco-paranoia? What will we do when it does?
