For my own piece of mind, can someone else PLEASE tell me that they are the same as me, and that I am not alone:

I haven't read the book(s), seen the films and I have no idea of what the main chap is called (although I know it was that Bloom fella?) or what happens.

Please tell me I'm not alone? Am I? Is it just me, a few infants and some people in the jungle?
