how can people saty that ronaldo didn't deserve to be sent off, he wasn't even looking at the ball and was going for cole. the fact that he didn't make much contact is beside the point because he intended to. as for the utd fans who say that jordans tackle just before was a foul, it was a great tackle, just because he took the player aswell as the ball, did you really expect ronaldo to stay on his feet anyway. and unlike most teams (especially utd) city players didn't bully the ref into his decision, cole got up immedeiatly and walked away.
as for the robben incident, the ref had no choice, its not always down to ref, but down to the ridiculous rules (the uncertainty of offside, celebrations, etc)
and i think fergie should take a look at pearce to see how to be a respectful and quality manager. pearce shows his emotion in a purely positive way on the touchline, and you would never hear him bad mouthing the referee or making threats. plus he can even admit that citys first goal was offside. we need more people like him in the game.
