BBC says Pete Doherty can drive!

SINGER Pete Doherty has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drink or drugs.

The Babyshambles and former Libertines frontman was stopped by police in east London at about 0800 GMT on Sunday.

Police said the 26-year-old had been driving erratically. Officers had sent suspicious substances found in the vehicle for analysis, they added.

Mr Doherty was taken to a north London police station and released on bail. He is due to report back in February.
