so even though Peter Jackson made the 9 hour Lord of the Rings trilogy geek-fest I was willing to give King Kong a go. He did make Bad Taste after all. However, just checking out the IMDB, the film is 187 minutes long. What the fuck? How can you make a film about a giant ape 3 hours long? Few films justify being over 2 hours, let alone being nearly 3. Plus, it has Jack Black in it. 3 hours of his funny fat man schtick.
