I try my best to make sense of the Nemeses and Similar people listing that DiS creates but I just can't.

My recent ratings have put marilyninthesky up at the top of my 'friends', which pleases me greatly as I've met her and she's cool.

But what's odd is her similarity to me is higher than her similarity to the most-similar person on her list of 'similar taste' people.

I just can't work out how the values don't run both ways?

Previously, when I was on Brainlove's list and he wasn't on mine I put it down to there being more people mores similar to me than there were similar to him.

But now I'm not so sure.

(Of course the alternative is that a script builds this shit up and it's only run for my username and not yet got to marylin's...)
