<p>You know the romance of getting a red bus through the gold streets of the Capital along with my fellow chaps in bowlers fresh from the 8.15 from Bletchley is beginning to jar rather a lot these days - I want to nominate the 149 bendy bus from Dalston to London Bridge and surely the modern version of a charnal house on wheels - they have about 3 seats and smells of nappies and Chicken Cottage and Inspectors seem to get on at every stop and act like they've just raided the Iranian Embassy - just hideous.</p>
