I was sadden to hear about the death of Simon Hobart on Sunday morning. I'm unsure as to how it happened, but I'm sure we'll be informed in the next few days.

In case you don't know Simon was the promoter of Popstarz, London's premier gay indie night. He started the night just over 10 years ago and has graced many different venues. It was the first openly gay-friendly club in the UK, which didn't play cheesey trance euro pop.

I've been going to Popstarz for over a year now and have always seen Simon about. For those who knew him well, he will be missed.
