So, the period of notice laid out in my contract is quite extreme - 3 months. Extreme in that other members of staff in similar roles/salaries have one month notices, with more senior/well paid members on 2 months.

I've been turned down for two roles in the past 2 years due to this and I can't really risk putting my notice in and going on the job hunt, hoping to land a new position in the interim 3 months.

I've never negotiated on notice periods, and while I understand its my fault for signing the contract in the first place, its (foolishly) not really something you worry about when starting a new role.

Anyone successfully negotiated a shorter notice period plz? Ty.
