Can you walk into a place and they know what you want?

Some guy came into Nero as I was being served. The barista clocked him and said "the usual?", he nodded and took a seat. I can't decide if that's pretty great or a bit sad.

I'm on first name terms with the guys at my comic shop but that's as close as I get.
