tell me about some sad things you have seen/read about/whatever lately.

yesterday an old man wandered into my local chippy wearing only his pyjamas and was really confused and incoherent. then a woman ran in shortly afterwards while we were trying to calm him down and call an ambulance (he was in quite a state and was really frail). it turned out she was his daughter and he had dementia, so this wasn't an isolated thing :( really sad.
