How long is too long?

I've noticed that the new boss man in work has quite long finger nails, it's a bit boke, they're not even uniformly long. It's possible he's a finger picker I suppose, I'll have to somehow squeeze that subtly into the chat here: "mate do you finger pick or is there another reason you nails are so manking?".

I've a couple of things to get off my chest, this is one.
