primary school was 20m away so the walk from the front gate to classroom was often longer than front door of house to the school

secondary school was about 1km walk, still a little late most days (although a mate of mine insisted that he was never late, he was just VERY on time)

6th form was a bus, had some highly entertaining journeys as by then drinking and getting high were our main interests. when your friend got kicked off the bus for drinking with no subtlty but you didn't = always funny
