100 French tax investigators raid Google's offices in Paris
They turned up unannounced at 7am this morning after a secret internal operation within the French tax authority, following a recent demand from the Finance Ministry that Google pays £1.2billion (e1.6bn) in back taxes.
Google recently paid a "voluntary" tax bill of £130m to HMRC in Britain.
