When things started to spiral out of control I didn't feel sufficiently invested and found myself having to force myself to care. Also, not really that convinced by Patrick Stewart but then I'm not really a fan of his.

Saulnier really ramps the tension up though so I couldn't help but engage and it is genuinely exciting for the rest of the film. Super violent too. Fans of Stanley knife violence will be delighted.
