It's the battle of the beer bellies. The Scottish based brewers have challenged us to a game. And as we haven't won a game in ages, it seems the perfect opportunity to test the theory that strong beer leads to weak football. Note that we are playing at Market Road, not the usual Whittington Park.

As always with international friendlies, we'll have a proper FA referee, so bring your shinpads and practice those throw-ins.

In other international news, the second season of the London International Amateur League is provisionally penciled in to run on Sunday afternoons in June/July. Last time we finished 3rd. See below for the proposed dates. Once these have been confirmed I'll send out an email with instruction on how to be be included in the squad.

The usual blurb:
- we play on a full-sized astro-turf pitch
- changing rooms and toilet facilities situation t.b.c.
- 5 min walk from Caledonian Road tube station (Piccadilly line)
- arrive at 3:30 PM for warm-up, tactics discussion, pre-match fags, team pictures, etc.
- kick-off at 4 PM sharp
- full 2 x 45 minutes and injury time + 15 min break
- normal FA rules, but with rolling subs
- shirt colour RED
- final team will be announced on the Thursday before the game
- 6 pounds per player will be collected on the day
- post-match analysis in the nearby Hemingford Arms pub
