*** US MASTERS THREAD 2016! ***
Magnolia Lane, Amen Corner, Rae's Creek - yes, the best major of the year is here, and it's lining up to be a cracker. More or less all the big guns are coming nicely into form. I seriously fancy it to be a real shootout between the world's best on the final day, and these are my picks.
Jason Day - In outrageous form, world number 1, ALWAYS goes close at Augusta, must win it soon. Just absolutely has to.
Jordan Spieth - has finished 2nd and 1st in his two Masters. Is really really good. Form not brilliant, but is bound to be in the mix. Biggest weakness is his receding hair at age 22.
Bubba - has a ludicrous run of 7 top 5 finishes in his last 15 USPGA events. Has won here twice before, basically cheats on the par 5s by knocking it almost to the green in 1. Doesn't seem to play well as champion, but won in 2012, 2014, 2016? Bit of a douche though.
Not exactly going out on a limb with them, but that's who I fancy. Of the others, Adam Scott's been in good form but can't use his broom handle putter on probably the hardest course to putt on. Rory is Rory, I can see his chase for the final major he hasn't won going on a bit longer and getting boring. Would be good if he won. Rose will hang around but not threaten. Danny Willett would be my choice at long odds, but don't think I'll bother.
Can't find last year's thread which is annoying, anyone help?
