technological singularity
just thinking about how, at some point in the next 50 years, it seems likely that AI will suddenly and in the space of a few hours accelerate to the point at which every single problem in maths, physics, economics, diplomacy have been solved
how it will realise that humans are unnecessary and thus obliterate every single one of us; even if that doesn't happen the amount of information that we suddenly have access to will cause a wave of schizophrenia to take over the west and we'll still all die, just slightly more slowly
we might even be posting on here when that happens
how does that make you feel?
