What's the biggest scandal you've been close to? That you can legally discuss here?

I used to play 5 a side with a teacher. At the end of one season he quit due to work commitments, which seemed fair enough, and he made occasional appearances when workload allowed. Eventually he stopped coming completely and told one of our team he was moving to Shrewsbury.

Except another member of our team found his picture in the local paper being sent down for having an improper relationship with one of his 15 year old students. He'd been using us as a front for his wife, telling her he was going to football and telling us he was at home. It was pretty grim reading, too. Never saw him again, perhaps unsurprisingly.

Needless to say, we decided anyone leaving the team would be "going to Shrewsbury", and I can't ever see Shrewsbury mentioned without associating it with prison.

Also played with some proper scrotes who ended up in prison, that was more of a crushing inevitability than a scandal.
