What completely implausible scenarios gave you the heebie jeebies as a child?

Was just watching some water drain and it reminded me I was dead frightened of getting sucked into a massive whirlpool and drowning in the sea. Also was really worried about getting trapped in quicksand and suffocating when it pulled me under.
