Due to an unfortunate clash of heads (well head and mouth) I am unable to eat an apple normally. I will need to use a knife. Any tips?

Feel free to talk about eating any fruits with the aid of a knife apart from those where a knife is necessary (in particular I am thinking of the pineapple).
