Perfidious Albion v DiS // 11-a-side Football // Sunday 3 January // 12 PM
Islington Tennis Centre
Market Road
N7 9PL

I know it is a little bit early to announce our next game, but with the upcoming holidays people may want to consider now how to get rid of the inevitable pot belly that all those mince pies will lead to. And there isn't a better way than to run around in North London pretending to be a world class football player capable of beating Barcelona.
As it is an lunchtime kick-off we shall arrive in the pub with plenty of time to spare to see Crystal Palace defeat Chelsea, although the latter sadly no longer have The Special One on the bench. The 4 PM match is a bit more difficult to call, as it is Everton v Spurs. We all know who we want to win though.
As always with international friendlies, we'll have a proper FA referee, so bring your shinpads and practice those throw-ins.
The usual blurb:
- we play on a full-sized astro-turf pitch
- changing rooms and toilet facilities situation t.b.c.
- 5 min walk from Caledonian Road tube station (Piccadilly line)
- arrive at 11:30 AM for warm-up, tactics discussion, pre-match fags, team pictures, etc.
- kick-off at 12 PM sharp
- full 2 x 45 minutes and injury time + 15 min break
- normal FA rules, but with rolling subs
- shirt colour RED
- final team will be announced on the Thursday before the game
- 6 pounds per player will be collected on the day
- post-match analysis in the nearby Hemingford Arms pub
You know the drill by now: sign up below if you want to be considered for selection. Applications from specialists (i.e. goalkeepers) will be viewed favourably.
