I've now exhausted all of Iain M Banks' Culture Series (which are uniformly amazing) and want a similarly vivid universe to get lost in. I've read a lot of the classics (Asimov, Clarke, PK Dick) so looking for something more contemporary like Banks. Reckon some of you dweebs ought to be able to help me out.
