Eliminating Confusion and Demanding Specificity
I've begun taking people to task whenever they say anything that could be ambiguous around me. Going after the nub of that what they're talking about like, one might say, a dog with a bone.
I now won't allow anyone to talk about kittens without making them specify whether they mean a baby cat, a baby rabbit or a stout furry grey and white moth, the caterpillar of which resembles that of the puss moth.
And, here's the best bit, not only am I single-handedly stamping out vagueness in all its forms but I'm also becoming more popular. In fact everyone in the office is talking about me.
