Blackpool had a Ripleys Believe it or Not Emporium which I couldn't even look at. There was a giant photo of that man with three pool balls in his mouth, a woman with so many neck rings that her neck was dangerously elongated, and for some reason I'd convinced myself that the two people working the front desk were Spitting Image puppets.

My dad had to pick my up, cover my eyes, and run every time we had to pass it, and I still screamed the whole way.
