Did anybody try to start their own band?

I tried to start a band in the early 2000s with my friends. We wanted to be The Strokes. I can't hear the music we made right now its too horrible and cringe inducing. The memories were great and we had a lot of fun, but it was bad talent-less music. We were called Spring Break in Bosnia.
