Hi team. Just got stung for a 2 grand gas bill from the nation's beloved British Gas.

Here's the deal - moved into flat in November 2013. I'm assuming the previous tennants gave BG a meter reading when they left. Stupidly, I've been paying estimated bills since then. Gave them a meter reading last week and boom, 2000 bones.

Me and my fiancee live in a tiny 1 bed flat with 4 radiators and a gas oven. According to the BG app we used over 2000 units(?) of gas between the months May to August, what's usually referred to as 'Summer' where the radiators don't typically get an outing. Shirley this is incorrect and I can bell them up on my lunch break and square this off...right?
