Funny mispronunciations that you have heard
- Around the first week of uni I was sitting with a group of students from Hong Kong in the halls cafeteria, talking about music we liked and that. Some guy piped up and said his favourite band was "Coolplay".
- My housemate pronounces "falafel" as "fel-ah-fel", and "theatre" as "thee-ay-ter".
- Some Americans on the tube last week were trying to get to Moorgate. One of them was dishing out instructions to the rest of the group and kept calling it "Moogate". Thought that was pretty funny.
