...obviously it's clearly marked 'viewpoint' and it's a devil's advocate type article but it would be hard to argue that our colonial past involved the benevolent rule of unenlightened peoples and altruistic stewardship of their resources - pretty much the opposite. Even so the famine statistics are shocking...
