apparently you had to have got one from ede and ravenscroft, who seem to have set up closed shop monopolies with many universities.......this would appear to be contrevening trade laws as far as I thought i understood them......but never mind that for now........apparently he has missed the deadline.....I hve considered getting generic stuff and then getting my mum (a quite skilled seamstress to sew on the correct ribbons (green) the problem is its really reallu specific to the degree......and there is no patterns.........
so....in theory he can turn up at the union on the day to see if there are any available, but that is not guarentee and then his mum and gran and brother and he will have all travelled up to leeds to be out of pocket and dissappointed.

Is it really true, can leeds university deny him graduation if he is not wearing an ede and ravenscroft gown?

are there alternatives?
