After Clark Griswald it is Chevy's most celebrated role. I hadn't seen it for ages and I used to love it but I watched this weekend. The plot is absolutely terrible and quite difficult to follow. The film is held together entirely by Chevy's charisma (probably the most charismatic man since Hitler).

He makes some comment about tacos to a hispanic cleaner and also calls a black detective Shamu which I guess must be racist but I can't work out why or how.

It's not a patch on any of three main Vacations. Might watch Fletch Lives soon.
