I'm just over a year away from hitting the big three oh, so kind of thought the whole being embarrassed by my parents phase would have stopped by now.

As I've mentioned, I had my parents around for four full days over the bank holiday weekend (they didn't stay at mine though thank god) and I love them to bits and all and we're actually quite close, but my god what a pair of weirdos. The limit to how many dad jokes I could politely chuckle at was met at least a couple of days ago.

I think maybe the main difference from when I was younger is that I'm now able to just kind of shut it out, try to ignore it and think to myself that it doesn't really concern me if they embarrass themselves in front of strangers or whatever. But at the same time I'll just also be really, really embarrassed and keep wondering how they can get away with being such weirdos in their everyday lives.

So yeah, do you still think your parents are massive weirdos as well?
