I have a friend, who had grown his hair for pretty much his whole life, it was long and down by his backside. When we hit our early/mid 20s he decided to get it cut short, a huge decision for him. He phoned up a few hairdressers to book in and explained the situation so they wouldn't be shocked when he came in. Upon making the booking, a few hairdressers hung up on him.
