The match that threatens to overshadow the General Election is upon us. World Cup winner Tim Bresnan might have over 50% of the caps as England finally pick a team that might be suited to ODIs. Most of the players won't get another chance, as they'll be sidelined once the Test players come back into the team, but it's a chance to see what might have been.

I wouldn't mind a credential boosting Irish win. England need all the momentum they can get right now, but it's such a ridiculous fixture. I'm not sure how much England throwing a team of prospects together every other year for an out of season one off game is helping Ireland's calls for more games.
