It seems like the quality of the denim used in women's jeans these days has taken a tumble, as I was in town the other day and spotted many, many young women walking around with rips in the knee area of their jeans. The rips seemed to be identical in size and uniform in shape, which leads me to suspect that jean makers have introduced planned obsolescence to their product.
