hi. can you all recommend some good books on things like politics, soft sciences, social theory, etc... books about the complex workings of people's minds and of groups of people. this is vague and scattershot, but I'm easy.

obviously I'm asking youse guys because I know you'll know the good stuff as opposed to the populist, nothingy stuff.

I'm finding more comfort in the relative concrete of non-fiction, right now. feeling wary of sophistry in fiction. sick of other people's poetic or prosaic attempts at beauty. craving the beauty of '''truth'''.
