What do you use and why?

I have recently started using hair product for the first time, aside from a brief dalliance with gel and a spider quiff when I was about 13 (as was the fashion at the time). After I gave that up and just went for a general "scruffy" look, I hated the idea of using product and "making an effort". I'm not really sure what's prompted me to start using something now (some sort of matt clay I think) but you know what, I feel more confident with it. GO ME.
