Documentary: India's Daughter
Trigger warning (includes abhorrent statements regarding recent attacks on women in India)
Summary of documentary here - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-31698154
Investigating India's treatment of women, including interviews with a rapist on death row and his defence lawyers. The attitudes of his lawyers towards the case are staggering. When the least offensive quote is "You are talking about man and woman as friends. Sorry, that doesn't have any place in our society. We have the best culture. In our culture, there is no place for a woman." you see the extent of the problem.
