You know, everyone wore one as standard, and as a result anyone with a long cape/cloak would stride like fuck everywhere in an attempt to look like Darth Vader.

Anyway, in such a world, what sort of cape would you have?
- material
- length (Vader length, Lando length, Victorian gentleman's down just above the waist, length?)
- colour?
- pattern, if any?

Obviously mine would be a fleece one, and Lando length, so back of the knees. Probably have to be weighted at the bottom like a curtain. Fleece is somewhat resistant to light rain, so this is advantageous in this country; in a country like Australia you'd want one made of that UV-resistant merino wool weave.

I think the colour would need to be something neutral. Tempted to go for beige just so zxcvbnm- spunks his load with joy at the obviousness, but I'm going to go with slate grey. But I'll have pattern of 8pt Courier New 1s and 0s on and on all over it in a lighter grey so you have to look real close to see them.
