TV Licence thread #2112431
So an MP report is saying they think the TV Licence will change in the next 15 years.
Some proposals are making it so it covers catch up TV, maybe making it some sort of subscription, removing the criminal offensive element of not having one and making it a compulsory levy on households like council tax.
Sound like good ideas? Is the TV Licence out-dated? Does anyone even watch live TV anymore? Should households be made to pay even if they only use TV for DVDs/games? Tbh closing the iPlayer loophole is fair enough really.
I don't have an aerial cable so don't have a licence at the moment and use TV for catch-up/Netflix/box sets/games but would of course get one if I started watching live TV. Do you resent paying for something you don't really use or think it's a good way of supporting an institution/some great programmes?
