Loads of people try and claim working class authenticity on this forum and yet they work in plush warm offices, cycle (as a hobby) or it often transpires they spent their childhood holidays driving round France.

I grew up fairly poor and obviously I have a massive northern chip on my shoulder, but I'd be a right donkey if I tried to claim that I was anything other than middle class right now wouldn't I?
