My wife's cat has been living with a relative for a couple of years while we didn't have a stable long term home, and about 6 months ago we took her back.

But she won't stop fucking meowing. She's basically never happy unless she's in the same room as us, and she pretty much refuses to go out (apart from shitting and pissing, thank god). She meows her stupid little fucking head off in the middle of the night and first thing in the morning, and no amount of disciplining will deter her. I don't think she's made the connection that when she meows at an unreasonable hour she gets a bop on the nose - she seems to associate anyone coming down the stairs with an imminent bopping instead.

She's like a dog. Honestly, I've never known a cat to want so much attention. Most cat owners I know complain that their cats disappear for days and get fed by other people. I fucking wish she did that.

Any of you cat wankers got any advice?
